In Accordance with Government Code §54953(e)(1)(A), and in response to the declared State and Local emergencies due to the Novel Coronavirus and Local Health Officer recommendation regarding social distancing, the Board of Retirement and its legislative bodies are holding meetings electronically and can be accessed below. Pursuant to Government Code §§ 54953(e)(2) and 54954.3, members of the public, to the extent required by law, will have the opportunity to directly address the Board concerning the below mentioned business.

Persons may also submit written comments to PublicComment@vcera.org at least 30 mins prior to the start of the Board meeting. Please include your name, agenda item, the last 4 numbers of the telephone number that will be used to call in, and your comment. Public comment emails will be read into the record or summarized if lengthy.

Traditionally, the first meeting of the month focuses on reviewing disability retirement applications. The second meeting of the month focuses on administrative and investment matters. However, the Board may hear matters on any topic at any meeting. Board meetings are open to the public.
Note: Agenda materials that are confidential, such as information related to disability applications, closed session items and confidential attorney-client memos, will have portions redacted or will not be publicly available. Investment-related trade secrets or confidential, proprietary information (e.g., investment manager strategy and service provider models) may also be excluded from public posting in compliance with the California Public Records Act.
